A Bolton florist performed two demonstrations at a prestigious flower show last month.
Julie Pearson, 54, from Harwood, created dozens of floral designs during two of her 3.5-hour demonstrations at the RHS Tatton Flower Show July 23-35, using all sustainable materials and plenty of flowers and plants cultivated in Great Britain.
Although she was not booked to demonstrate on the last day of the event, which was held at Tatton Park in Cheshire, she introduced herself as a visitor, and realizing that the booked demonstrator was not was unable to attend, she volunteered to undertake another demonstration.
Julie said: “I had to rush in and pick flowers from other exhibitors, a knife, a string and a toolbox, but I managed to create many bouquets of flowers with Janet Schofield from the area. of Cheshire from the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies.
“We had fun offering the bouquets to members of the public. It was a fun afternoon and I was honored to step in at the last minute.
Julie is a professional florist and floral designer, who teaches and demonstrates through face-to-face workshops and offers online classes through her website for people who want to learn or develop their floral skills at all levels.
She also teaches college and university students – and organizes floral design events for bridal showers and hen parties.
She added: “After the positive feedback I have had at Tatton over the three days I was there, I hope I will be asked to demonstrate at the Chelsea Flower Show in September. . ”
